PM Modi warns leaders against controversial remarks, says trash talk must end

Few leaders always in news over controversial statements, should be careful in future: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday warned National Democratic Party leaders to avoid controversial remarks while addressing NDA Parliamentary meeting in New Delhi.

PM Modi, while addressing the meet, said that some political leaders have a penchant for making controversial or irrelevant statements.

His warning comes after several controversial statements were made by party candidates during the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Narendra Modi, addressing National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary meet said, “Media ke logo ko bhi pata hota hai ki 6 namune hain, vaha subah pahoch jayo, gate ke bahar khade raho, nikal ke kuchh to bolega.”

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK, CHECK FACTS: MODI TO NEW NDA MPS

Narendra Modi cautioned newly elected MPs of the NDA and said they should conduct themselves responsibly while speaking in public.

Narendra Modi said the MPs should restrain themselves from giving unnecessary comments.

“The media will approach you with various baits. There is nothing called off-the-record conversations. Be cautious. Check facts before commenting on anything,” Narendra Modi said.
